$48.42 per hour
Teaches students effectively in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with students of varying diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated skills in successfully working with diverse populations through experiences such as formal training and past work experiences. The ability to provide quality customer service.
May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), English Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition (SLA), Foreign Language, Bilingual Education, Reading and/or Writing Education, or Speech or
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 18 undergraduate hours in a combination of: English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), English, Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition (SLA) Foreign Language, Bilingual Education, Reading and/or Writing Education or Speech or
Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in a combination of: English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), English, Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition (SLA), Foreign Language, Bilingual Education, Reading and and/or Writing Education or Speech.
